Trump’s approval rating dips after executive orders

President Trump’s approval rating dropped to 45% after his first week back in office, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll. The decline follows a series of executive orders on immigration, federal oversight, and military reforms. His disapproval rating rose by 7 points to 46%.

Key actions, like withdrawing from the Paris Agreement and eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) offices, drew criticism, with over half of respondents opposing these moves. However, Trump’s immigration policies garnered 48% approval.

Analysts noted that Trump’s support remains tied to his stance on the economy and border security. The survey of 1,034 adults was conducted nationwide from January 24-26 with a 4-point margin of error.
