ORANGE GAME DAY: Syracuse returns home for clash with Pittsburgh (preview)

Syracuse men’s basketball (9-10, 3-5 ACC) returns home to face Pittsburgh (12-6, 3-4 ACC) today at 12:30 p.m.

The Orange return home after an 86-72 road loss to Clemson. J.J. Starling led Syracuse with 25 points, while Eddie Lampkin Jr. contributed 14 points and nine rebounds. Pittsburgh also recently fell to Clemson in overtime, 78-75, marking their fourth consecutive loss.

Syracuse leads the all-time series against Pittsburgh 76-50, including a 23-14 record at the Dome. The teams last met in the 2023-24 season, with Syracuse winning both matchups.

Starling has excelled since returning from injury, averaging 18.2 points in his last six games. Lampkin Jr. has been a consistent presence, recording seven double-doubles this season and averaging 8.3 rebounds per game.

Pittsburgh is led by Jaland Lowe, who averages 17.3 points and ranks fifth in the ACC in assists. The Panthers lead the conference in free throw percentage (79%) and rank third in field goal percentage (47%).
