A motorist involved in a single-car accident earlier this month in Victory was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Erica A. Cardinale, 35, of Victory, was arrested on January 10 after her vehicle veered into the oncoming lane, left the road, and struck a ditch on the south side of Mott Road. The crash occurred around 10:05 p.m.
Authorities said Cardinale displayed signs of intoxication during their investigation. She was charged with DWI (first offense), operating a motor vehicle with a BAC above 0.08%, and other traffic infractions.
Cardinale was released with traffic tickets and scheduled to appear in Victory Town Court on January 15.
