Seneca Falls man arrested after domestic incident, animal cruelty allegations

Seneca Falls police arrested a 20-year-old local man following a domestic incident that escalated into property damage and allegations of animal cruelty.

Conor J. Downer, of Seneca Falls, was taken into custody on January 21 after a verbal argument reportedly led to him damaging property belonging to the victim and choking the victim’s dog. Police charged Downer with Criminal Mischief in the 3rd degree, a Class E felony; Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree, a Class A misdemeanor; and Overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals, a Class A misdemeanor.


Downer was processed and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where he awaits arraignment. An order of protection for the victim has been requested as part of the case.
