Syracuse running back LeQuint Allen Jr. announced on social media Thursday that he will enter the 2025 NFL Draft.
Over three seasons with the Orange, Allen totaled 2,359 rushing yards, 514 carries, and 26 touchdowns.
Allen began his Syracuse career backing up Sean Tucker but became the team’s lead back after Tucker’s departure. He recorded back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, including a career-high 1,064 yards in 2023. Despite facing a suspension in 2023 following a campus altercation, Allen resolved the issue and returned to the field.
Allen was instrumental during key moments, especially when quarterback Garrett Shrader was injured. In late 2023, Allen carried the team with 367 rushing yards over three games. Under new head coach Fran Brown in 2024, he thrived, tallying 1,021 rushing yards, 521 receiving yards, and 20 total touchdowns. Highlights included game-winning overtime scores against UNLV and Virginia Tech.
Allen capped his career with a standout performance in Syracuse’s Holiday Bowl win over Washington State before declaring for the draft, joining teammates Jackson Meeks and Fadil Diggs.
