WEDNESDAY HS BASKETBALL REPORT: Clyde-Savannah girls edge Gananda on late jumper; Bloomfield girls roll past Mynderse

Wednesday night featured a lighter schedule of Wayne-Finger Lakes high school basketball, with nine games on tap.

The highlight of the night came from Wayne County, where the Clyde-Savannah girls mounted a late rally to edge Gananda by one point, handing them their first loss of the season. Meanwhile, the Bloomfield girls secured their first victory, with a dominant win over Mynderse.

The Golden Eagles were down by one with 9.2 seconds remaining when sophomore Katie Cronin received an inbound pass and nailed a clutch go-ahead jumper. The Panthers had a chance to reclaim the lead, but Jordyn Brice’s three-pointer missed the mark as the buzzer sounded.
