Women Plead Guilty to Killing Man in Las Vegas Hotel, Face Up to 10 Years

Two women, Erika Covington, 21, and Arionna Taylor, 22, have pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Bryan Altamirano-Solano, 25, inside a Las Vegas Strip hotel room in May 2023. As part of a plea deal, the women could serve 10 to 25 years in prison, with parole eligibility beginning after 10 years.

Surveillance footage showed Altamirano-Solano meeting the women at Caesars Palace and walking with them to his room. Minutes later, the women were captured running from the scene with his bag. Prosecutors said explicit videos found on his phone linked the pair to the crime, though it remains unclear who pulled the trigger.

Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 23. Altamirano-Solano, who was seeking asylum from Nicaragua, did not speak English, according to police reports.
