A Geneva man was arrested last month after allegedly stealing a takeout order from a Canandaigua restaurant, police said.
Anthony E. Evans, 58, was taken into custody on October 21 at 4:27 p.m. after authorities received a report of a theft from an Eastern Boulevard restaurant. According to investigators, Evans entered the restaurant, took a takeout order that was waiting on the counter, and left the area in a vehicle.
Canandaigua police located and stopped Evans shortly afterward on State Route 5 and 20, where he was arrested on a charge of petit larceny.
Following his arrest, Evans was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua City Court at a later date.
