A 23-year-old Olean man faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence after admitting to a federal drug trafficking charge tied to sales and a search that uncovered multiple narcotics.
Isaiah Josiah Dre Riley pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine in U.S. District Court. The charge carries a minimum sentence of five years in prison and up to 40 years, along with a potential $5 million fine.
Federal prosecutors said the case stems from activity in late 2024, when law enforcement observed Riley selling crack cocaine from a residence on 3rd Avenue in Olean. Authorities later executed search warrants at the property on Jan. 14, 2025.
During the search, investigators recovered suspected cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with drug paraphernalia and more than $2,500 in cash. Riley was taken into custody at the scene.
The investigation involved the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the Olean Police Department.
Riley is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 28, 2026.
