Reminder: Change your clocks back this Sunday as daylight saving time ends

Daylight saving time comes to an end this Sunday, Nov. 3, when clocks fall back by an hour at 2 a.m., marking the return to standard time. This shift, which instantly moves the clocks to 1 a.m., is intended to provide more morning daylight as we head into winter.

Since 2007, daylight saving time has been observed from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, affecting the schedules of most Americans. Hawaii, Arizona, and several U.S. territories, however, do not observe this time change.

Though efforts have been made in Congress to establish permanent daylight saving time, including the proposed Sunshine Protection Act, these initiatives have yet to pass. For now, the tradition of adjusting our clocks twice a year remains, with daylight saving time set to resume on March 9, 2025.
