Red Creek man held without bail after violating court order, traffic stop in Cayuga County

The incident occurred around 10:47 p.m. on State Route 34 in the Town of Cato. Sheriff Brian Schenck reported that deputies pulled over the vehicle for traffic violations and, upon investigation, identified an order of protection barring contact between the driver, John A. Capron, and his passenger.

Capron was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and taken to the Cayuga County Jail, where he was held without bail due to previous violations of orders of protection. He awaits arraignment in CAP Court.
