A Brutus man has been arrested following a domestic dispute in which glass cups and a broken broom handle nearly injured two children, the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Joseph C. Hall, 24, was involved in an argument with a woman at a residence in the Town of Brutus on Oct. 18, during which he allegedly threw glass cups at the wall in close proximity to the children, both under the age of two. Hall also smashed a broom handle, with a fragment flying through the air and narrowly missing one of the children.
Hall was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. After being processed at the Cayuga County Public Safety Building, he was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Town of Brutus Court at a later date.
