A Corning man incarcerated at the Steuben County Jail has been charged with assault following an incident inside the facility.
Abdul M. Carter, 21, was arrested on October 11 after an investigation by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office revealed he had intentionally injured another inmate.
Carter now faces a second-degree assault charge, a class D felony. He was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and has been returned to the custody of the Steuben County Jail.
