Geneva officials to present collaborative economic development plan at public meeting

City officials in Geneva are preparing to present the results of a collaborative review of local agencies aimed at enhancing economic development. The Industrial Development Agency (IDA), Local Development Corporation (LDC), Business Improvement District (BID), and the Department of Planning and Economic Development have been working together to assess their capacities and identify ways to move forward collectively.

A public meeting at the Geneva Public Library next Thursday will offer an overview of the findings, with a draft of the final report available for community feedback. Officials have emphasized the importance of involving residents, encouraging citizens to form work groups to advance small-scale ideas and community goals.

The city will also participate in Good Neighbor Day on Saturday, September 28, from 2-6 p.m. at the library, where volunteer opportunities will be shared along with games for attendees.
