East Irondequoit school official arrested after roadside incident in Webster

An East Irondequoit school administrator is accused of displaying a gun during a traffic-related incident in Webster.


Mark Anson, 47, the district’s Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, was charged with menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, according to New York State Police. The incident, which began on Route 104 and continued onto Boston Road, involved a vehicle and traffic complaint.

Anson was released following his arrest. The district acknowledged the situation in a statement, assuring families that the matter is being taken seriously while the investigation continues.
