Marion man arrested after firing bb gun at car

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 40-year-old Marion man following a criminal mischief investigation.

Joshua D. Lawliss, of Pembroke Drive, was charged with Criminal Mischief in the third degree after an incident involving alleged shots fired from a BB gun.

Authorities say Lawliss became upset during a conflict and fired a BB gun at another individual’s windshield, causing damage.

Lawliss was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Marion Court on September 18, 2024, at 6:00 PM to answer the charges. The investigation was conducted with assistance from the New York State Police.
