The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office has arrested L. Jason Barned following a domestic incident in the Town of Throop. Deputies responded to the scene after the victim reported that Barned, who was under a Full Stay Away Order of Protection, had been at her residence. Barned left before deputies arrived, and an arrest warrant for Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree was issued.
Barned turned himself in at the Cayuga County Public Safety Building on August 24, 2024, where he was processed and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Throop Court at a later date.
