Residents around Cato in Cayuga County reported hefty damage following severe thunderstorms Sunday evening.
The storms rolled through during the late-afternoon and early-evening hours, leaving trees uprooted and limbs down around the area.
The most significant damage was reported around Watkins Road in Cato, according to Green Gator News, who posted photos of the damage.
While some speculated that it could have been a tornado, the damage was more likely caused by straight line winds.
