A Marion man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on felony DWI charges after a traffic stop revealed he was driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content of .18%, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Paul J. Liedmann, 56, was pulled over around 3:51 p.m. after he failed to stop at the intersection of Mill Street and South Main Street in Marion. Deputies conducted roadside sobriety tests, which Liedmann failed, leading to his arrest.
Further investigation revealed that Liedmann had a prior DWI conviction in 2019. He now faces multiple charges, including Felony DWI Common Law, Felony Aggravated DWI, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. Liedmann is scheduled to appear in Marion Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
