This marks the third time families in Middlesex have dealt with such flooding, each incident bringing the frustration of insurance claims and repairs. While many homeowners narrowly escaped damage, others in the area weren’t as fortunate, with floodwaters reaching knee-high levels around residences.
Despite the challenges, residents expressed relief that their homes remained dry. Neighbors are relying on an emergency shelter at the local firehouse and are hopeful that no more rain is on the horizon.
