A mix of commercial signage requests and ongoing development questions will come before the Victor Zoning Board of Appeals tonight, with multiple variance requests tied to Eastview Mall and a residential project highlighting the agenda.
The meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. at Victor Town Hall, will include two public hearings and updates on previously tabled applications.
The most detailed request comes from Capital One Café at Eastview Mall, where the applicant is seeking multiple variances to install an exterior-mounted sign despite being located entirely داخل the mall without an exterior entrance. The proposal includes a sign significantly larger than what would typically be allowed—about 80 square feet compared to an estimated 31-square-foot limit—and includes more than two typefaces, which is also restricted under town code.
Also up for consideration is a request tied to the Fairways Townhomes development at 652 Championship Drive. The applicant is seeking an area variance to install a business-use sign in a residential district, with additional concerns about proximity to the roadway. Board members are expected to review details on the sign’s exact placement, size, and whether it will be illuminated.
Two previously discussed items remain on the board’s radar but will not see action Monday night. A proposed sprinkler waiver for a storage shed at Phoenix Mills Plaza, associated with Otto Tomatos restaurant, has been tabled until April 20. Meanwhile, a separate project on Baker Road involving construction near wetlands remains on hold pending a determination from the Department of Environmental Conservation.
The meeting will also include approval of minutes from the March 2 session and will be livestreamed for public viewing.
