$6M Thruway repaving project begins between Geneva and Canandaigua

The New York State Thruway Authority has launched a $6 million project to repave a 20-mile section of Interstate 90 in the Finger Lakes region.

The project covers more than 80 lane miles in both directions between exits 42 (Geneva) and 44 (Canandaigua) in Ontario and Seneca counties.

Seneca Stone Corporation of Seneca Falls won the contract after submitting the lowest bid in a competitive process.

The work will include full-depth pavement repairs to replace deteriorated sections and improve the highway’s structural integrity. Additionally, safety features such as reflective line striping and rumble strips will be installed.
