A Canandaigua woman is facing a driving while intoxicated charge following a crash investigation early Tuesday morning in Ontario County.
Deputies arrested 47-year-old Amanda Gayhart after responding to a reported personal injury crash on State Route 14 in the town of Phelps around 4:10 a.m. on April 7.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Gayhart was found to be operating a motor vehicle on a public highway while in an intoxicated condition.
Authorities said the arrest stemmed from the crash investigation, though details about injuries were not released.
Gayhart was issued uniform traffic tickets and released. She is scheduled to appear in Phelps Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
