The FBI confirmed Friday that a bullet struck former President Donald Trump’s ear during an assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania rally on July 13. The agency clarified that Trump was hit by either a whole bullet or fragments from the gunman’s rifle.
The announcement follows conflicting statements from FBI Director Christopher Wray, which had fueled conspiracy theories. Trump, who has accused federal law enforcement of bias against him, expressed frustration over the initial ambiguity.
The incident occurred as Trump was addressing supporters. Medical evaluations confirmed the injury as a gunshot wound, with Trump’s former White House doctor, Ronny Jackson, emphasizing there was “absolutely no evidence” of any other cause. The FBI continues to investigate the shooting.
