Daniel’s Law Task Force to hold meeting on July 24

The Daniel’s Law Task Force will meet on Wednesday, July 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to discuss findings gathered over the past year. The meeting, which will be streamed live, marks a significant step in synthesizing information from various listening sessions and research.

NYSTEC, the consulting firm assisting the task force, will present its research findings to inform the discussion. Established after the death of Daniel Prude, the task force aims to improve behavioral health crisis response and diversion services.

Task force Chair Dr. Ann Sullivan, Commissioner of the Office of Mental Health, expressed gratitude for the stakeholder input received. “We look forward to identifying approaches that best serve New York’s communities,” she said. For more information, visit the task force website.
