New York Yankees superstar Juan Soto put the American League on the board in the 2024 MLB All-Star Game, hitting a two-run double in the third inning off San Francisco’s Logan Webb on Tuesday night at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Soto walked in the first inning against Pittsburgh’s Paul Skenes, then came to the plate in the third after Texas’s Marcus Semien singled and Cleveland’s Steven Kwan walked.
Webb threw a first-pitch fastball to Soto, and he grounded it through the middle, driving in two runs and cutting the National League’s lead to 3-2.
This was Soto’s fourth straight All-Star Game appearance but first career start.
