The New York Yankees (52-28) capped off a miserable homestand with a 3-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves (43-32) on Sunday afternoon in the Bronx.

New York has dropped three consecutive series after losing just three of their first 22.

Nestor Cortes allowed all three runs over seven innings of work and received just one run of support.

Anthony Volpe drove in the only run in the sixth with an RBI double. Trent Grisham and Ben Rice each had two-hit games but were all singles.

Tommy Kahnle and Clay Holmes tossed scoreless innings.

The Yankees will get the day off on Monday before they face the Mets on Tuesday night for two games at Citi Field as part of the Subway Series.
