Carlos Rodón struggled through the first two innings as the New York Yankees (50-23) fell 8-4 to the Boston Red Sox (36-35) on Saturday night at Fenway Park.

Rodón, who entered the game with a 2.93 ERA, allowed five runs on six hits through two before settling in and throwing three scoreless, but the offense could not bail him out.

DJ LeMahieu drove in three of the four runs, including a two-out, two-run single. Juan Soto crushed his 18th home run of the season and walked twice.

Ron Marinaccio gave up a run and Victor González surrendered two (one earned).

Box Score

The Yankees will try to take two of three from the Red Sox on Sunday Night Baseball. Marcus Stroman gets the start, with first pitch scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
