Cayuga County DMV temporarily relocates for summer

The Cayuga County Department of Motor Vehicles has temporarily moved to the Cayuga County Public Safety Building at 7445 County House Road due to the closure of the county office building.

County Clerk Brian Scanlan announced that the DMV will operate at limited capacity and accept transactions by appointment only starting Friday. Appointments can be made at cayugacounty.us/230/DMV. Mail-in transactions can be sent to 160 Genesee St., Auburn, NY, 13021. Forms are available on the state DMV website at dmv.ny.gov.

In-person testing for driver and motorcycle licenses and upgrades to enhanced licenses or REAL IDs will not be available. Scanlan assured residents that the DMV is working to resume these services locally and appreciates public patience during this period. The county office building is closed until the end of August for roof repairs and asbestos-related issues.
