Harrison Bader, Starling Marte, and Francisco Lindor go deep as the New York Mets (29-37) rolled past the Miami Marlins (23-44), 10-4, on Wednesday night at Citi Field.
Francisco Alvarez and J.D. Martinez added run-scoring singles as everyone in the lineup had at least a hit except for Jeff McNeil, who went 0-for-4. Tyrone Taylor collected four of New York’s 14 hits.
David Peterson gave up four runs on eight hits over five innings. Dedniel Núñez, Jake Diekman, and Reed Garrett posted scoreless outings.
The Mets will try to win the series on Thursday when they hand the ball to Luis Severino at 7:10 p.m.
