The New York Yankees (45-20) had their eight-game win streak snapped with a 2-1 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers (40-25) in 11 innings on Friday night in the Bronx.

The game was scoreless until the 11th inning when Teoscar Hernandez ripped a two-run double into the gap in left-center off Ian Hamilton.

The Yankees plated one in the bottom of the frame on Aaron Judge’s RBI single, but he was left stranded at first to end the game after Giancarlo Stanton struck out looking and Anthony Rizzo fouled out to the catcher.

New York went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position, leaving nine on base.

Cody Poteet tossed 4.2 shutout innings in his third start with the Yankees. Victor González, Michael Tonkin, Caleb Ferguson, Clay Holmes, and Dennis Santana posted scoreless outings.

Box Score

The Yankees will try to bounce back on Saturday with Nestor Cortes on the bump. The first pitch is slated for 7:35 p.m.
