A driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into an embankment Thursday morning in Canandaigua, prompting emergency response from multiple agencies.
The driver, identified as 40-year-old Russell H. Lindquist of Canandaigua, lost consciousness before his vehicle veered off the road at 5373 County Road 32, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene at 11:09 a.m. and found that Lindquist had suffered minor injuries in the single-car crash. He was transported to Thompson Hospital by the Canandaigua Emergency Squad. The Cheshire Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
Lindquist was issued a citation for failure to keep right.
