Wayne County sergeant retires after 23 years of service

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office recently bid farewell to Sergeant Larry Lindner, who retired after 23 years of dedicated service. Lindner began his career as a Deputy Sheriff in 2001 and was promoted to Sergeant in 2017. His last day on the job was Wednesday, May 29.

During his tenure, Lindner served as a Field Training Officer, a member of the Emergency Response Team, a State Certified Instructor for General Topics and Firearms, and a member of the Crisis Intervention Team.

“Thank you, Sarge, for your dedication and service to the citizens of Wayne County,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “We wish you the absolute best in your retirement.”
