BOYS LACROSSE: Victor advances to state championship

The Victor boys lacrosse team advanced to the state championship with a 17-6 victory over Section IV’s Vestal in the Class B state semifinal on Wednesday night at SUNY Cortland.

The Blue Devils scored the first 13 goals of the contest over 31 minutes of game action and cruised to the final buzzer, handing Vestal their first loss in 19 games this season.

Victor will face Section VIII’s South Side in the state final on Saturday at 3 p.m. A win would give the Blue Devils their fifth state title in program history.
