Ithaca man faces felony drug charge after search warrant executed in city

On Thursday around 9 a.m. the Ithaca Police Department executed a search warrant on the 100 block of Cherry Street as part of a narcotics investigation.


During the search, 49-year-old Jermaine S. Hutto of Ithaca was arrested without incident. Officers found suspected crack cocaine and fentanyl, along with U.S. currency and digital scales, indicating drug sales.

Hutto was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony. He was arraigned before an Ithaca City Court judge and remanded to Tompkins County Jail.
