The 31st Annual Waterfront Festival & Cardboard Boat Regatta will take place on Saturday, June 15, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Seneca Harbor Park. This event kicks off summer with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and the famous Cardboard Boat Regatta.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of food, craft, and nonprofit vendors throughout the day. From 12 noon to 4 p.m., free activities such as face painting, balloon creations, and interactive games will be available for families. The festival will feature a live performance by 5 Man Trio from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The highlight of the festival, the Cardboard Boat Regatta, starts at 2:00 p.m. Participants will race handmade cardboard boats through Seneca Harbor. Before the race, attendees can view and vote for their favorite boats at the Concourse de Cardboard.

“This event has been a beloved tradition for 31 years, celebrating the start of summer,” said Laurie DeNardo, Chair of the Waterfront Festival Committee and Mayor of Watkins Glen. “We’re grateful for the support of local volunteers, businesses, the Tourism Assistance Program, and Erie Canal Pathways.”
