Police responded to a call about a mental health situation at a local residence. While trying to take the girl into custody, she became aggressive and injured an officer’s leg. The officer was treated and later found to have a fracture.

The girl, whose name is not released due to her age, was charged with second-degree assault. She was given an appearance ticket and will appear in Seneca County Court-Youth Part at a later date.
