Auburn to host Memorial Day events with parade, performances, and food

Auburn will celebrate Memorial Day with a series of family-friendly events, starting with the annual parade on Genesee Street at 11 a.m. Following the parade, DownBeat Percussion will perform in Market Street Park, renowned for their high-energy shows.


At noon, a wreath-laying ceremony will be held at Veteran’s Memorial Park. Food enthusiasts can enjoy the Auburn Downtown BID’s Food Truck Rodeo, featuring vendors like Rosalie’s Cruisin’ Cucina and Real Pit BBQ. Knights of Columbus will offer burgers and hot dogs, while CIAO will sell pizza frittes. Next Chapter Brewpub and Shep’s Brewing Co. will provide beverages.

From 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Phoenix Phive band will perform under the Market Street Park band shell. The Duck Derby, sponsored by TomatoFest and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, will take place from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., offering cash prizes to support local families.
