Wayne County man charged in fatal hit-and-run

Kyle R. Laskowski, a 40-year-old resident of Ontario, Wayne County, has been charged with a class D felony for leaving the scene of a hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of another Ontario man last summer. The incident occurred on Lake Road in Sodus, where 46-year-old Joshua Clark was struck and killed.

Acting District Attorney Christine Callanan announced on Friday that following a thorough investigation by state police, an indictment was unsealed in county court, leading to Laskowski’s arraignment. County Judge Arthur Williams presided over the proceedings, releasing Laskowski on his own recognizance and setting a court date for June 4.

The fatal incident, which took place just after 5 a.m. last August, prompted an extensive search for the vehicle involved. The ongoing case is being prosecuted by Second Assistant District Attorney David Dys.
