Authorities say a Seneca Falls man is in custody after a person was seriously threatened during a violent domestic incident on Tuesday.

Seneca Falls police arrested 31-year-old Brandon L. Ferris on Tuesday at 7:19 p.m., following an investigation, according to a news release. Ferris was accused of unlawfully staying at a residence he was previously banned from and threatening violence against the victim. Last fall Ferris was arrested for threatening a person during another domestic incident.

During the disturbance, Ferris reportedly threatened to choke and slit the throat of the victim. He left the scene before police arrived but was apprehended shortly after without any issues. He now faces charges including Aggravated Family Offense, a Class E Felony, and lesser misdemeanors related to harassment and trespassing.

Ferris was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await his court appearance. Meanwhile, the court has been asked to issue an order of protection for the victim to prevent further incidents.
