On April 25 a joint retail theft operation by the New York State Police and the Seneca Falls Police Department led to six arrests at the Walmart Supercenter on North Road in Seneca Falls. The operation aimed to curb theft in high-turnover retail environments.
Officers, in collaboration with Walmart Loss Prevention, apprehended individuals from surrounding areas, each charged with petit larceny. Among those arrested were Makenna L. Rowealvaro of Geneva; Sierra M. Zerniak of Waterloo; Timothy L. Ward and Catina Y. Overbaugh, both of Seneca Falls; Lisa M. Racano of Ovid; and Emily E. Bell of Auburn.
The suspects were processed and issued appearance tickets, with court dates set to address the charges in the Town of Seneca Falls Court. The operation underscores ongoing efforts to enforce the law in retail settings.
