Tim Hortons, the beloved Canadian coffee and doughnut chain, is set to break ground on its first store in Hornell, expanding its reach into the Southern Tier of New York. Slated to begin construction in the third week of April, the new location at 111 Seneca St. is expected to welcome its first customers by late August or early September, according to franchise owner Blake Tarana of TAR Enterprises.
The upcoming Hornell outlet, previously the site of a McDonald’s restaurant, will feature a modern 1,600 square foot layout with indoor seating, an outdoor area, WiFi for guests, and a drive-thru capable of accommodating approximately 16 vehicles. This store design mirrors the brand’s establishment in East State Street in Olean, ensuring a familiar and welcoming environment for Tim Hortons enthusiasts.
As Tim Hortons ventures into a new market, the anticipation builds for its array of coffee, doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches, and the iconic Timbits. Generating around $3.97 billion in 2023, Tim Hortons has a robust presence in Canada and Western New York, with Hornell representing an exciting expansion opportunity. Tarana expressed enthusiasm for the new location, highlighting the brand’s long-standing history in nearby areas and optimism for success in Hornell.
