Ithaca man faces felony charges after threatening person with BB gun

The Ithaca Police Department says a 33-year-old city resident was taken into custody after a menacing and weapons possession investigation on Friday.

During the investigation in the area of South Titus Avenue, police arrested Philip Lewis, 33, who was accused of threatening a person with a firearm.

Upon investigation it was determined to be a ‘BB gun’ and not a traditional firearm.

Lewis was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon, both as felonies.

Those charges will be answered at a later date in City Court.
