The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Wolcott man following a months-long investigation into a crash that happened on Garner Road in the town of Huron.
Brett Shaffer, 35, was arrested for his role in a crash on September 23, where he identified himself as another person to avoid deputies learning that he didn’t have a valid driver’s license.
Shaffer was also found to be in possession of drugs, resulting in two charges – criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal impersonation.
He was processed at the Wayne County Jail and will answer the charges at a later date.
