Police arrested a Canandaigua man following a disturbance on Chapin Street earlier this month.
According to a news release, Mark Rankin, 63, was charged with criminal contempt after violating an order of protection.
He was found at a residence in the city where the victim was, resulting in the charge.
He was transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
