Trevor J. Mitstifer, a 29-year-old resident of Watkins Glen, was apprehended on Tuesday following the issuance of four separate warrants from Chemung County.
The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office reported that Mitstifer’s arrest on December 26 involved two family court warrants from the Chemung County Family Court, along with a bench warrant from the Big Flats Town Court and another from the Van Etten Town Court. The warrants from the family court were issued on September 25 and September 28, while the Big Flats and Van Etten warrants were dated December 14 and August 28, respectively.
In addition to these warrants, Mitstifer faces specific charges in various courts. The Big Flats Town Court has charged him with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, while the Van Etten Town Court brought charges of second-degree aggravated harassment and unlawful dissemination or publication of an intimate image.
Following his arrest, Mitstifer was transferred to the Chemung County Jail, where he is currently being held in connection with the family court charges. This series of warrants and charges highlights the ongoing legal challenges faced by Mitstifer in Chemung County.
