Rochester man ID’d as victim in fatal rollover accident along Rt. 104 in Wayne County

State Police have released details regarding a fatal car accident that occurred last week in Wayne County.


The victim of the single-vehicle rollover crash has been identified as Timothy Bonds, a 64-year-old resident of Rochester. The accident took place on November 14 on State Route 104 near Fisher Road in the town of Ontario.

According to the police report, Bonds was traveling westbound on State Route 104 when his car veered off the road and overturned. The reasons for the vehicle leaving the roadway are still unclear. Bonds was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders who arrived shortly after the accident was reported. The section of State Route 104 where the accident occurred was shut down during the late-morning hours as emergency services worked at the scene.

The New York State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
