The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 48-year-old Shane V. Delyser from the Village of Clyde, on charges of criminal mischief and criminal tampering. The arrest follows an incident that occurred on November 12 in the Village of Sodus.
According to the sheriff’s office, Delyser traveled to a residence in Sodus where he allegedly damaged property and interfered with the homeowner’s Ring doorbell camera.
The specifics of the damage and the manner in which the doorbell camera was tampered with were not disclosed in the report.
Delyser, a resident of East Genesee Street in Clyde, was taken into custody and charged with one count of criminal mischief in the fourth degree and one count of criminal tampering in the third degree.
Following his arrest, he was processed at the Wayne County Jail and subsequently released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Village of Sodus Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
