Anthony “Tony” Vincent Sindoni, 72, of Lakeland, Florida passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2023.

Born on March 4, 1951, Tony grew up and attended high school in Geneva, New York. Following high school, Tony enlisted in the United States Army in 1969 and proudly served his country until his retirement in 1998. During his 25+ year career in the military, Sergeant First Class Sindoni earned many commendations from his superiors, including medals for Army Achievement, National Defense Service, and the Good Conduct Medal to name a few. Tony was a part of the 101st and 82nd Airborne Division as well as the 4th Ranger Training Brigade and 75th Infantry. With over 1000+ jumps as a paratrooper and master parachutist, Tony became an instructor for both the Ranger and SERE Schools. Following his honorable military career, Tony served as the general manager for the Microtel Inn & Suites in Seneca Falls, N.Y. before retiring to Florida and marrying his wife, Brenda. Tony enjoyed sipping on his coffee, cooking for others, and the quiet life. He could often be found outside whistling a tune while tending to all of his plants and trees, acquiring quite the green thumb over the years. While he loved crunching on potato chips watching old-time movies, Secretariat and Maverick seemed to always find a way to the screen.

Anthony is predeceased by his parents, John (Snowball) Sindoni and Mary Sindoni (Venise); and his brother, Samuel Sindoni.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sindoni (McCann); his children, Matthew (Megan) Sindoni, Kimberly Sindoni-Bazdaric, Melissa (Daniel) Bussius, Larissa Sindoni, Billie Jo McCann, Ashley (Tyrone) Carter, Amber (Eric) Oberdorf, and Robert Rickerson; 10 grandchildren; brothers John “Gigi” (Daryl) Sindoni and Francis (Lisa) Sindoni; sisters Roseanne (Michael) Baroody and Mary (Jeff) Byrne; several in-laws, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

Services will be held at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Dr, Lakeland, FL at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
