First responders from Wayne and Cayuga counties were called to a serious dirt bike accident near the Seneca, Cayuga, and Wayne county lines late-Sunday.
The accident was reported during the evening hours, and involved serious injuries, according to our partners at the Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire.
Clyde, Savannah, Montezuma Fire, North Seneca Ambulance and Port Byron Ambulance all responded to the scene. The scene itself was on a small stretch of Route 31, which sits in Seneca County.

Their reporting of the incident indicated that two people suffered serious enough injuries that both were airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
The road was shut down to traffic between State Route 89 and State Route 90.
Both LifeNet and Mercy Flight transported those involved in the accident.
No additional information was immediately available.
